Nature Foundation Sint Maarten
Since 1997, the Nature Foundation Sint Maarten has operated as a non-governmental, non-profit organization working to improve the conditions for the conservation, management, and restoration of Sint Maarten’s biodiverse natural ecosystems and wildlife.
Mission
As a small non-profit organization with big responsibilities, the Nature Foundation takes a broad, holistic approach to advancing environmental conservation on Sint Maarten. Our staff works to improve the conditions for the conservation, management, and restoration of all Sint Maarten’s natural ecosystems – in the process strengthening its cultural, economic, and educational value. In other words, we aim:
“To conserve and enhance the natural environment of Sint Maarten through quality research programming, public education, management practices, and policy advising relating to all aspects of our island’s terrestrial, marine, and wetland ecosystems.”
